AAT Testing

Animal Samaritans' requires that all animals pass an AAT testing session prior to serving in our AAT program. Our professional animal trainer will evaluate your cat or dog in 16 different areas: Does your animal react fearfully to fast hand movements? How does she respond to canes and walkers? Can she walk calmly on a loose leash? Is she aggressive toward other animals?

AAT testing occurs on the last Saturday of the month between September and June. AAT therapists may take animals belonging to friends or relatives, provided the cat or dog is a certified AAT animal. Testing is free. AAT vests are $25.00 per animal.
