The Spirit of 1776 Kitten Adoptions!

Time: 9am - 4:30pm, Monday through Saturday (Shelter Hours)

Place: Animal Samaritans' No-Kill Animal Shelter / Adoption Center : 72-307 Ramon Road, Thousand Palms.

About:  Our kitten rooms runneth over! Now through July 31, adopt a kitten from Animal Samaritans for just three Abraham Lincolns, two George Washingtons and change.  

Cost: $17.76 kitten adoption fees. All kittens have been spayed or neutered, michrochipped, and given (at minimum) their initial vaccinations. Special ends July 31.

A Gift of Love III - Tickets Go On Sale

Concert Dates:  December 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 

Place: The McCallum Theater, Palm Desert

About: VIP Premium Tickets go on sale exclusively online at on Wednesday, June 17 at 10am Pacific Standard Time, or by phone at 310.957.5788.  Pop culture icon and music legend Barry Manilow's five charity concerts will benefit 30 charities in the Coachella Valley; ticket buyers select the charity they wish they ticket sales to benefit, and Animal Samaritans is again one of Barry's benefiting charities!

Cost: General public tickets ranging from $25 to $250 go on sale at the McCallum Box Office in late summer, but the VIP Premium Tickets sell out fast, so plan to buy your concert tickets June 17 of as soon as you can!

AnSams' Critter Camps

About: We're sorry, our camps are full.  These week-long day camps for students aged 6-11 provide youngsters the opportunity to interact with live reptiles, birds, dogs, and rodents, create animal-themed arts&crafts, play animal-themed games, learn responsible pet ownership and respect for all living creatures.  Special guests and guest speakers.

Superheroes 5K Run / 1K Walk for the Animals

Place: Rancho Mirage Community Park (formerly Whitewater Park) 71-560 San Jacinto Drive, Rancho Mirage

About: Join Animal Samaritans’ Superhero 5K Run / 1K Walk for the Animals on March 12, 2016 at the Rancho Mirage Community Park. This year we are adding the Superhero element to the event as all individuals involved in animal rescue, adoptions and welfare are superheroes. The event will feature a 5K Run, 1K Walk and a 200 meter “Hero in Training Dash” for the children ages 10 and under. Each entry will receive a superhero cape to wear during the event OR feel free to come dressed as your favorite Superhero! Following the run, there will be a Kids Korner featuring arts and crafts, and kids activities along with a petting zoo. There will be a superhero costume contest, an animal blessing, working dog activities, raffles, live music, food vendors and an opportunity to meet some adoptable animals from local shelters and rescue groups. Animal Samaritans will also hold a microchip and vaccination clinic.

Cost: 5K Runners TBD; 1K Walkers & General Guests TBD
