Len Betz – Board President

Len is the Board President for Animal Samaritans.  He is a graduate of the Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu, India.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and  Master’s of City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University.  Len spent his career as a public policy researcher for The Academy for Contemporary Problems in Columbus, Ohio and later as City Planner for the City of Los Angeles, where he directed and managed innovative and visionary redevelopment programs in Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, and Bunker Hill.

He has participated and served on numerous boards for non-profit housing, social services and community organizations.  Len resides in Palm Springs with his spouse Jon Bauer and their two rescue animals – Buster, an Animal Assisted Therapy Dog, and Elvie their Exotic Shorthair cat.
