April 17 (Thursday)

April Yappy Hour!


Time: 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Place: Rancho Las Palmas Resort (41-000 Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage, across from The River Mall)

About: Enjoy the Desert's best patio for drinks and socializing at Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage. Bring your dog on a leash, enjoy a cocktail, and an appetizer from The Blue Ember Restaurant. Meet up with fellow dog-loving friends, and make new ones!

Cost: $10 to attend. Includes two drinks. One half of all proceeds goes to Animal Samaritans.

April 23 (Wednesday)

Pet Foster Orientation Class

Time: 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Place: Animal Samaritans' no-kill animal shelter, 72-307 Ramon Road, Thousand Palms, CA 92276

About: It's kitten season and we need help fostering the little ones.  Puppy season is also right around the corner. Learn what it takes to foster a kitten, puppy, cat or dog. How much time is involved? What do I feed them? What if they won't drink from their bottle?  What if they appear sick? What if I already have pets at home? Where should I keep them? We will answer all your questions and concerns.

May 2 (Friday)

AnSams Kit-Tea Party at Nothing Bundt Cakes

Time: 9am - 6pm

Place: Nothing Bundt Cakes, 72216 Hwy. 111, Suite F-3, in Palm Desert (Next to Outback Steakhouse)

About: It's the Grand Opening of Nothing Bundt Cakes!  And they are donating 20% of the day's sales to Animal Samaritans!   In addition, they are holding a kitten "Kit-Tea" party from 2pm-3pm, where guests can sip tea, munch on bundtinis, and visit with some adoptable kittens from Animal Samaritans.

WineWomen PSP Fundraiser for Animal Samaritans

Time: 6:00pm - 9:30pm

Place: Bellatrix Restaurant at The Classic Club (75200 Classic Club Blvd., Palm Desert)

About: Enjoy a gourmet meal with perfectly paired wines!  Not a wine expert? Not a problem. These events are ideal for learning about wine. 

Event Menu:  RECEPTION: Enjoy Braised Wild Game with Shallot Gastrique on Herb Crostini, Roasted Garlic and Butternut Squash Puree on Wild Mushroom Chip, Shrimp Cerviche on European Cucumber Round. FIRST COURSE: Enjoy Three Cheese Ravioli with Asparagus, Sun Dried Tomatoes and Artichokes in Basil Sauce paired with La Marouette Grenache Rose 2013. SECOND COURSE: Enjoy Roasted Beet, Granny Smith Apple and Goat Cheese Salad with Blood Orange Dressing paired with Domaine Bousquet Torrontes/Chardonnay 2013. THIRD COURSE: Enjoy Seared Sea Bass with Russian Fingerling Potatoes, Carmalized Vidalia Onions, Kalamata Olives and Arugula in Heirloom Tomato Dijon Fume paired with Le Joly Rouge 2010. DESERT COURSE: Enjoy Bittersweet Chocolate Saravin with Raspberry Coulis paired with Chacewater Zinfandel 2013.

Cost: $75 for WineWomen PSP members; $85 for non-members (guests). A portion of the proceeds will benefit Animal Samaritans.
