My story: Donatella was found as a stray in Coachella with 4 babies, so a lot of things are new to her. Leash-walking is something she had never done before she came into our rescue care, so she's doing her best to work on her triggers. She is a strong little girl and makes it very clear when she is overwhelmed by passing dogs or interesting people, but she is working on learning the "sounds corrections” to help redirect her attention back to the handler. Donatella is sweet and loving, but she is nervous about strangers picking her up. Once she gets to know you, she’s fine. She seems more comfortable around women than she is around men.

Note: Her ideal home would be as an only pet in an adult only home, so she can have her humans all to herself.
