Animal Rescue

Our Adoption Alliance Rescue program has been facilitated out of our local city/county animal shelter since 2011. Thanks to the help of nearly 300 rescue partners and our volunteer transport team of “Highway Heroes,” the program has saved over 15,000 animals.

That’s not all dogs at cats, either: it also includes guinea pigs (and actual pigs), chickens, rabbits, hamsters, birds, reptiles, even the occasional horse or donkey.

Certified in shelter behavior by the IAABC, the program’s supervisor specializes in the more fearful dogs, helping them to come out of their shell, get over their fears and anxieties, and help to place them with appropriate rescue groups. Over the years, our most active partners have come to appreciate our behavioral expertise in our assessments.
