Oncology
At Animal Samaritans, we understand how frightening a cancer diagnosis can be—for you and for your beloved pet. Early diagnosis improves outcomes, so if you’ve noticed a persistent lump, abnormal swelling or unexplained weight loss in your dog or cat, we encourage you to schedule an evaluation promptly.
Our dedicated oncology team provides pet cancer treatment, including dog oncology and cancer care and cat oncology and cancer care, using the latest diagnostic tools and therapies. We offer tumor testing, lump removal, and customized chemotherapy programs tailored to your animal’s needs. We also offer a new, less-invasive therapy, vetIQure™ Tumour Specific Electroporation (TSE), an advanced, targeted therapy designed to enhance the delivery of therapeutic agents directly into cancer cells while minimizing effects on surrounding healthy tissue.
Our goal is to give your pet the best chance at a longer, higher-quality life through compassionate, expert care.

Staging (Additional Diagnostics)
After a diagnosis of cancer, additional diagnostic testing can help to determine the extent of cancer in the body, which allows us to optimize treatment recommendations and better predict prognosis.
Treatment Options
When staging is complete our team of specialists will discuss all the appropriate treatment options. Cancer can be treated by several different therapies or combination of treatments including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies or palliative care when appropriate.
What is vetIQure™ Tumour Specific Electroporation (TSE)?
Animal Samaritans Veterinary Specialists offers vetIQure™ Tumour Specific Electroporation (TSE), an advanced, targeted therapy designed to enhance the delivery of therapeutic agents directly into cancer cells while minimizing effects on surrounding healthy tissue. Using precisely controlled electrical pulses, TSE temporarily increases tumor cell permeability, allowing medications to enter more effectively and support a localized treatment approach. This technology promotes a controlled cellular response (apoptosis) rather than indiscriminate tissue destruction.
Why choose vetIQure™ Tumour Specific Electroporation (TSE)?
TSE may be considered for tumors in sensitive or surgically challenging locations, when clear surgical margins are difficult to achieve, or as part of a comprehensive cancer care plan.
Our board-certified oncology team carefully evaluates each patient to determine whether TSE is appropriate, ensuring a personalized and compassionate approach to your pet’s cancer treatment.
